HOW TO: ESKATE No BMS Charging
This is how I have been charging my ESkate batteries. 4 x 3S lipos I run together for 12S, but charge in pairs on a dual Turnigy Reaktor. I have about 200 miles on this set of batteries.

    I lived in Alabama as a kid and every field was lit up with them. We would catch them every night and my sisters would take the light off them and smear it on stuff to make it glow. I have yet to see any in Florida in my 40 years here.

      I read an article about why there are no lightning bugs here. They say they are here but they aren’t getting the nutrients they need to light up and their numbers are dwindling in Florida. I grew up in Alabama until I was 10 and I could catch a jar full every night but I’ve not seen one here in Florida I’m in Panama City and frequent orlando and Tampa and have yet to see any.

    You said it yourself, brass is soft and tends to break. You didn’t think that seemed like an issue? Whatever you use, if it breaks just trying to get it into the board, probably not a good idea.... anybody who really wants to learn about this stuff should check out the builders forum. Eskate news forum or electric skateboard builders forum although I think the latter will prob shut down soon as the company hosting it went bankrupt. Either way, that’s where you learn how to do this stuff properly. Good enough is rarely good and if there is a possibility of mechanical failure you have a responsibility as someone posting for the public to not guide people in the wrong direction. Good job on the diy enclosure, not so much on the mounting tutorial.

    • @barnes_specialty
      @barnes_specialty 4 роки тому

      Has one ever broken, No. How about you do something useful and contribute to the community instead of providing useless feedback. This board has run well over 200 miles without problems. I see you have no content on your youtube channel. Are you referring to electric-skateboard.builders the forum that is run by the failure known as Enertion? Keep your mouth shut if you have nothing positive to say.

    • @doriandolinajec6601
      @doriandolinajec6601 4 роки тому

      Barnes'd it broke when you were putting it in. On film. With a screw driver and not the way way way more intense forces that will be put on it when riding. If it hasn’t broken yet it’s shear luck. My post is “contributing” to the community Caus it guides people in the directions where they can learn safely and properly how do to things. Cuz eyeballing shit as you go is def not the way to do shit. You switched your technique halfway through, like you weren’t even sure what you were doing. Not good man. Like I said, nice job on the diy enclosure tho! 😁 . They also make steel versions of these inserts which imo are the way to go. So, to recap figure out what you want to do before you start filming. If it breaks while your installing it probably doing something incorrectly. When someone directs people to an actual builders forum where they can learn how to do things correctly and where they can access hundreds if not thousands of people’s knowledge to gain insight and learn, that is a contribution, much more so than posting a video of freehand slop hoping people will stroke your ego due to your massive insecurities. Which by the way are blatantly apparent based on your very emotional response. Byyyyye!

      motor amps are higher than battery amps because you only get full battery voltage when having close to 100% duty cycle... So motor load in amps should be whatever is specified as max amps for your motor... And your battery amps whatever your battery can output (divided by 2 if you are setting up 2 motors)
